Patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) face elevated risks for developing necrotising enterocolitis (NEC).
Current approaches for NEC identification, diagnosis, and treatment lack standardization, leading to significant variability in rates and management strategies across institutions.
The Paediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium initiated a working group to address this variability.
