Abstract:
Post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) is a condition that arises following traumatic brain injury (TBI) and is characterized by recurrent seizures. Post-traumatic epilepsy is often associated with significant morbidity and poses challenges in diagnosis and management. This case report describes 2 patients who developed epilepsy after exposure to explosive blasts in war zones, highlighting their clinical courses, diagnostic findings, and treatment outcomes. This case report underscores the complexity of diagnosing and managing post-bomb explosion epilepsy. Multimodal diagnostic approaches, including VEEG and advanced imaging, are critical in understanding the underlying pathophysiology and guiding treatment. Further studies are warranted to explore the long-term outcomes and efficacy of tailored therapeutic interventions in such cases.
