  • Perceptions of EOLC adequacy varied significantly across Latin America during the pandemic.
  • Relational, emotional, and physical care aspects critically influenced relatives' assessments.
  • The COS provides a framework for identifying and addressing EOLC gaps to promote holistic, culturally sensitive care.
