Abstract:
In the article by Sánchez González, a detailed description of demographic and clinical variables is presented in a cohort of 224 patients. However, the lack of inferential statistical analysis limits the ability to establish robust associations. Based on previous evidence, we propose complementing the analysis using multiple logistic regression. When applying this model to the reported data, we found that male sex and exclusive insulin therapy were significantly associated with a higher risk of severe hypoglycemia.
