Abstract:
Despite the vital role T cells play in controlling T. cruzi infection and in the clinical progression of Chagas disease, their cellular metabolism remains poorly understood. SCENITH™ is a powerful technique in immunology that enables the evaluation of energetic metabolism at single-cell resolution. In this chapter, we will provide an overview of the application of this innovative assay to evaluate the metabolism of T lymphocytes from patients with different stages of chronic Chagas disease.
