Purpose of the Study:

To explore the use of AI, specifically ChatGPT, as a tool to foster student engagement with historical nursing theorists.
To enhance undergraduate nursing students' understanding of nursing history and their information literacy skills.

Main Methods:

Undergraduate nursing students interviewed historical nursing theorists using ChatGPT.
Students crafted prompts for ChatGPT and developed interview questions.
Students critically evaluated ChatGPT's responses by fact-checking against scholarly sources.

Main Results:

The AI-driven activity successfully brought historical nursing figures to life for students.
Students strengthened their information literacy skills through cross-referencing and verifying information.
