Serum hepatokines leucocyte cell-derived chemotaxin 2 (LECT2) and pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) are elevated in pediatric metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD). Their combination aids in diagnosing MAFLD in obese children.
