Abstract:
This journal club article was conducted as part of the 2024/25 Young ERC Resuscitation Science Masterclass. In this paper, we provide a critical appraisal of the BETA-ARREST trial "Landiolol for Refractory Ventricular Fibrillation in Out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest: a Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled, Pilot Trial" by Gelbenegger et al. 2024, and discuss what constitutes a good pilot study.
