Abstract:
Natural polymer-based biodegradable hydrogels can be used to promote the wound healing due to their excellent biocompatibility, tissue adhesion and wound adaptability. In this research, a sprayable hydrogel with good antioxidant, skin adhesion and self-healing property was designed from hydrazide and dopamine functionalized carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-HD) with oxidized pectin (OPec) cross-linking. The dopamine moiety enhanced antioxidant property of the hydrogel and the MXene nanosheets were composited to take the advantage of the photothermal stimulated antibacterial activity. The coagulation drug Tranexamic acid (TXA) was loaded and enhance the hemostatic performance of the hydrogel in tail amputation and liver hemorrhage models. In vivo wound repairing experiment in full-thickness skin wound model proved the MXene@TXA/Gel promoted the wound repairing rate under NIR stimulus and this composite hydrogel shows great potential as wound dressing.
