Summary

Robot-assisted kidney transplant using an extraperitoneal approach (EP-RAKT) is feasible and safe, reducing postoperative complications like ileus and pain compared to the transperitoneal approach (TP-RAKT). While operative times are longer, EP-RAKT offers comparable graft function and improved early recovery.
