This article explores the evolution of lymphoedema education in Wales over 15 years, led by the Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network (LWCN). It traces key milestones, policy drivers, and the development of a national education programme designed to support both specialist and generalist practitioners. A multi-layered education framework has been established, incorporating accredited qualifications, workplace-based sessions, peer-led delivery, and digital resources. Collaborations with Health Education and Improvement Wales and the launch of the LWCN website have expanded access. Education has also been embedded in preregistration curricula for nursing, physiotherapy, podiatry and medicine, and extended into postgraduate programmes. Evaluation demonstrates improved workforce confidence, clearer referral pathways, and stronger integration of lymphoedema care within long-term condition management. Educator reflections emphasise the value of flexible delivery, peer-led teaching, and policy alignment, while highlighting challenges around time, digital access and baseline knowledge variation. Future directions for development are also discussed.
