Inverse gas chromatography study of mixed stationary phases containing a microporous polymer

Abstract:
The compatibility of a microporous polymer phase of poly(3,3-bis(trimethylsilyl)tricyclononene-7) and the classic for gas chromatography stationary phases of polysiloxane SE 30 and polyethylene glycol 20 M was studied by inverse gas chromatography. It was found that the studied polymers are only partially compatible with each other, and microphase separation is observed when mixed stationary phases of these polymers are applied. It is noted that in all the considered polymer systems there is an interaction between polymers, as a result of which the sorption energy of alkanes in mixed phases can either exceed or be less than the values calculated by the additive rule.
