Research on transient energy storage capacity of CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite towards micro type laser
Abstract:
A passively Q-switched Tm:YAP laser based on a CH3NH3PbI3/MoS2 heterojunction saturable absorber has been demonstrated to verify the transient energy storage capacity of the CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite and is promising for integration of tiny laser systems. Under an absorbed pump power of 5.75 W, the optimized pulse repetition rate, pulse duration, single pulse energy and peak power were measured to be 100.32 kHz, 755.8 ns, 24.02 µJ and 31.79 W, respectively. Compared with other state-of-the-art heterojunction or perovskite-based lasers, the pulse energy shows a remarkable improvement. It can be concluded that the CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite possesses excellent transient energy storage capacity, which is beneficial in pulse energy enhancement of pulsed lasers.
