A specific genetic variant linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) may lower the risk of biochemical recurrence (BCR) after prostate cancer surgery. This T2D-related variant in C2 calcium-dependent domain-containing 4A (C2CD4A) could help predict patient outcomes.
