A new method, Mean-anchored generalized linear binning (MeanGLB), robustly quantifies ventilation defect percentage (VDP) in hyperpolarized xenon-129 MRI. This technique shows potential for detecting subtle pulmonary impairments in patients with cystic fibrosis.
