Summary

Superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO)-enhanced MRI effectively maps sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) and lymphatic drainage in oral cancer patients. While superior to SPECT/CT in visualizing lymph nodes, it cannot reliably distinguish metastatic from non-metastatic nodes.
