Sterile abscesses are a rare but serious complication of leuprolide acetate (LA) injections, potentially impacting treatment effectiveness. This case highlights the need for increased provider awareness and patient counseling regarding this adverse event.

This complication can cause patient discomfort, scarring, and reduced therapeutic efficacy.
