Nursing Evaluation

The evaluation stage signals the end of the nursing process. The nurse gathers evaluative data to assess whether or not the patient has attained the expected results. Whereas the nurse collects data in the nursing assessment to identify the patient's health concerns, the evaluation stage data determines if the indicated health issues are resolved. Evaluative data collection includes two sections: the data acquired to evaluate patient outcomes and the time criteria for data collection.

Background:

Rhinoplasty is a common cosmetic procedure.
Assessing patient satisfaction is crucial for evaluating surgical success.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate patient satisfaction following rhinoplasty.
To identify demographic factors influencing satisfaction after rhinoplasty.

Main Methods:

An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted.
The Rhinoplasty Outcome Evaluation (ROE) questionnaire assessed satisfaction pre- and post-surgery.
Data from 130 patients were analyzed.

Main Results:

Patient satisfaction scores significantly increased from pre-surgery (32.76) to 3 months post-surgery (92.05).
Gender, age, marital status, and education level showed significant differences in satisfaction.
Males reported a higher mean percentage increase in satisfaction (68.14%) compared to females (54.6%).

Conclusions:

Rhinoplasty leads to high patient satisfaction, irrespective of age, gender, or education.
Demographic variables can significantly influence patient satisfaction with rhinoplasty outcomes.
The study highlights the positive impact of rhinoplasty on overall patient well-being and aesthetic goals.
