As the dimensionality decreases, the structure and properties of arsenene undergo significant changes. Meanwhile, the synthesis of materials and large-area assembly are prerequisites for physical property research and device applications. In this study, we successfully synthesized one-dimensional (1D) arsenene within semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (As@s-SWCNTs) and prepared wafer-scale aligned thin films. Using aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (AC-STEM), we observed the efficient filling of one-dimensional arsenene inside SWCNTs. UV-visible-near-infrared (UV-vis-NIR) absorption spectroscopy verified the effective separation of As@s-SWCNTs, which was due to charge transfer between the encapsulated substance and carbon nanotubes. Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) further elucidated this charge transfer phenomenon. Subsequently, we employed the dimension-limited self-alignment (DLSA) technique to fabricate aligned thin films and assess their performance in field-effect transistors. Compared with randomly arranged films, the on-state current increased by nearly 20 times. This work provides new insights into the synthesis and assembly of 1D semiconductor materials.
