Revitalizing COVID-19 Vaccination in the Post-Pandemic Phase: A Public Health Priority

Despite the end of the global emergency, SARS-CoV-2 continues to circulate. The waning of post-infection and vaccine-induced immunity highlights the need to sustain booster uptake. Vaccination remains effective in preventing severe disease and, together with viral evolution, has contributed to milder clinical presentations. Yet, vaccine fatigue and misinformation have weakened adherence, especially among youth. Strengthening vaccination campaigns through updated boosters and communication strategies using channels most followed by young people is essential to maintain immunity and prevent future resurgences.
