Oral feeding readiness in critically ill neonates can be predicted using the Preterm Infant Oral Feeding readiness assessment scale (PIOFRA). Sucking power and rooting reflex are key predictors for successful oral feeding in the Neonates Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
