Chronic pharyngitis refers to persistent inflammation of the pharyngial mucosa.
Etiology
It often arises from persistent viral or bacterial infections affecting sinuses and tonsils.

Summary

Chronic maxillary sinusitis can mimic neoplasms, presenting as radiolucent lesions. This case highlights the importance of histopathology in differentiating chronic sinusitis from pleomorphic adenoma in the maxillary sinus.
