[Preparation of dermatological expert opinions-the revised Bamberg Recommendation]

Since 2003, the Bamberg Recommendation has provided a scientifically sound basis for assessing dermatological expert opinion reports on occupational skin diseases. The revised version of the Bamberg Recommendation, published on 9 October 2025, explains the legal basis for assessing occupational skin diseases and outlines a structured assessment process with the aim of ensuring equal treatment of those affected and transparency of decisions. It thus provides dermatologists acting as assessors with important support in their role as neutral experts.
