Summary

This study investigated SERPINA3 gene variations and their link to hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDPs) and severe preeclampsia/HELLP syndrome. While no direct association was found, parent-of-origin effects suggest maternal-fetal genomic incompatibility may play a role.
