Abstract:
An accidental injury to the myocardial tissue below the posterior annulus occurred during mitral valve repair surgery, leading to the formation of an atrioventricular groove hematoma. By evaluating the size of the communication orifice and monitoring the bleeding tendency, we successfully managed the complication conservatively, thus preventing cardiac rupture and the necessity for reoperation.
