Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) risk can be predicted using pre-pregnancy and first-trimester body weight (BW) and body mass index (BMI). These anthropometric measurements offer a reliable method for early GDM detection in pregnant individuals.

- These findings support the use of simple anthropometric measures for early GDM risk assessment in clinical practice.
