Abstract:
Currently, the National Immunization Program (NIP) has been vulnerable due to its reliance on the private sector for vaccine supply. To respond to unexpected supply shortage situations due to various factors such as uprise of infectious disease and changes in vaccine supply and demand, we have prepared the Strategy for Stabilization of Essential Immunization Vaccine Supply (July, 2018). For efficient vaccine supply and strengthening of national distribution, we are implementing a reformation of supply system and storage of vaccines whose needs are difficult to meet immediately in situations of unstable domestic supply. Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency is striving continuously to achieve stable supply of NIP vaccines by strengthen monitoring of vaccine supply and cooperating with local government and medical sector.
