Single-Sided Magnetic Particle Imaging Based on Magnetic Field Rotation Encoding
None:
Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) is a nonionizing, high-resolution medical imaging technique with significant potential for applications such as vascular imaging, cell tracking, inflammation imaging, and cancer diagnosis. However, current MPI systems, especially single-sided MPI devices, face challenges in imaging depth and sensitivity, limiting their clinical effectiveness. This study proposes a novel encoding method based on high-sensitivity Magnetic Particle Spectroscopy (MPS) systems, aimed at improving both imaging depth and sensitivity. Theory and simulation experiments show that this approach enhances imaging depth and boosts sensitivity compared to conventional single-sided MPI devices. Preliminary studies suggest potential advantages in cost-effectiveness and reduced equipment complexity. This research presents a promising solution to advance the clinical application of MPI, particularly for the early diagnosis of high-risk conditions such as cancer.Clinical relevance- This study could significantly enhance MPI's clinical application by improving imaging depth and sensitivity.
