  • Limited literature exists on their clinical spectrum, hormonal profile, imaging, histology, and outcomes.
  • This study systematically reviews the characteristics of pediatric VOT.

Conclusions:

  • Hyperandrogenic manifestations are less frequent in children under 8 years with VOT.
  • Elevated 17-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) and/or dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) do not exclude VOT.
  • The etiological spectrum of pediatric VOT is age-specific, warranting further multicenter studies for prognosis and management.
