Background:

Effective collaboration between physicians and nurses is vital in primary care.
Interprofessional teamwork is increasingly recognized for managing complex patient needs.

Purpose of the Study:

To identify core shared competencies essential for physician-nurse collaboration in primary care settings.

Main Methods:

A three-round Delphi survey involving 30 experts (physicians and nurses) was conducted.
Experts evaluated interprofessional team approaches using online questionnaires.
Quantitative analysis included calculating mean, standard deviation, and content validity ratio (CVR).

Main Results:

Interprofessional teamwork is necessary for chronic disease management, rehabilitation, elderly care, and mental health.
Six shared competencies were identified: patient-centered care, treatment planning, communication, professional development, service evaluation, and health promotion.
All identified competencies met consensus criteria.

Conclusions:

The study clarifies essential physician-nurse shared competencies for primary care.
Findings provide a basis for developing interprofessional curricula and training programs.
Enhanced collaboration is expected to improve care quality and patient outcomes.
