Hyponatremia as a Predictor of Complicated Appendicitis

This study found higher serum sodium levels, not hyponatremia, were paradoxically linked to complicated appendicitis in a Saudi Arabian population. Age and serum sodium together may aid in early risk stratification for appendicitis severity.
