The new vertical sintering ore cooling furnace has a higher waste heat recovery efficiency and less environmental pollution compared to traditional belt coolers and annular coolers. This paper designs a supporting waste heat power generation system for the vertical sintering ore cooler and conducts flue gas waste heat utilization modifications on the power generation system based on EBSILON software. It compares and analyzes three modification schemes and explores the impact of the outlet water temperature of the flue gas-water heat exchanger on the additional power generation capacity of the unit, the heat rate of the power plant, and the economic benefits. The study found that Scheme 2 has the best energy-saving effect and economic performance. When the outlet water temperature of the heat exchanger is 170 °C, the additional power generation capacity of the generator is 0.438 MW, and the annual economic benefit is 1.93596 million yuan. The higher the outlet temperature of the heat exchanger, the higher the additional power generation capacity and economic benefits, with a slight decrease in the heat rate of the power plant. This paper can provide a certain reference for the design and modification of waste heat power plants for vertical sintering ore coolers.

Whenever we consider heat engines (and associated devices such as refrigerators and heat pumps), we do not use the standard sign convention for heat and work. For convenience, we assume that the symbols Qh, Qc, and W represent only the amounts of heat transferred...

Mechanisms of Heat Transfer
Conduction, accounting for approximately 3% of body heat loss at rest, is the process of exchanging heat between molecules of two materials in direct contact. This can result in both heat loss and gain. For instance, when the body is submerged in water, which conducts heat 20 times more effectively than air, it can either lose or gain significant...
