Double gallbladder mimicking choledochal cyst: a rare anatomical variation

Double gallbladder is a rare congenital anomaly that can be mistaken for a choledochal cyst, although they are distinct entities. The presence of gallstones within the gallbladder, along with parietal wall thickening, increases the risk of malignant transformation. We report the rare case of a 73-year-old patient who presented with right upper quadrant pain, that radiological investigations revealed the presence of a double gallbladder associated with a cystic dilation of the biliary tract.
