Abstract:

The concept of the "upright patient" and its implementation represent a significant advance in healthcare. Among the many advantages and benefits for the patient, particularly in terms of their independence, dignity, and well-being, this practice has the virtue of helping to reduce their anxiety levels, a factor that can have negative effects during and after surgery.
