Abstract:
A cyano-functionalized sp2‑carbon bridged triphenylamine conjugated microporous polymer (SCP-TPA-1) with an octupolar structure was constructed. It exhibits an extended π-conjugated system, which promotes efficient intramolecular charge transfer and results in intense solid-state fluorescence emission at 616 nm. SCP-TPA-1 serves as an efficient fluorescent probe for latent fingerprints (LFPs) visualization, enabling clear discrimination and three-level recognition capability. The presence and content of the cyano group play a crucial role in modulating interactions with LFPs-associated lipids, thereby enhancing imaging fidelity. This work presents a practical design approach for the development of conjugated polymer-based fluorescent probes applicable to a wide range of fluorescence imaging technologies.
