Nurse Preceptor Preferences for Professional Development: A Descriptive Study
None:
We administered a modified version of the +RN Learning Needs Assessment tool to 24 professional nurse preceptors, yielding data that were analyzed using Qualtrics and Tableau, employing a five-level Likert scale. The participants expressed preference for additional learning modalities (e.g., online learning and independent learning) to supplement what was in place (e.g., an in-person preceptor workshop). We expect that improving understanding of preceptors' learning preferences will enhance engagement, autonomy, curriculum quality, and employee/patient satisfaction.
