Summary

Transarterial embolization effectively treated chronic shoulder pain from recurrent subacromial-subdeltoid bursitis. This minimally invasive procedure reduced pain and bursal effusion, offering an alternative to surgery for rotator cuff issues.

Area of Science:

  • Interventional Radiology
  • Orthopedics

Background:

  • Chronic shoulder pain and stiffness are often caused by recurrent subacromial-subdeltoid bursitis.
  • Rotator cuff tears frequently accompany bursitis, complicating treatment.
Keywords:
