Abstract:
To address two key challenges in ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver design-strong clutter interference in UWB RF signals and the low sensitivity of conventional front-ends-this paper proposes a high-sensitivity UWB RF signal reception front-end and details its design and implementation. Utilizing a frequency-segmentation-based structure, the proposed front-end achieves a maximum analysis bandwidth exceeding 1 GHz within an ultra-wide operating frequency range of 30 MHz to 26.5 GHz. Furthermore, the system is designed to achieve high-sensitivity signal reception down to -125 dBm within a 1 kHz noise bandwidth by incorporating sensitivity analysis and optimization during the design phase.
