Electromagnetic generalized Schell-model vortex beams
None:
In this work, we study what we believe to be a new class of electromagnetic generalized Schell-model vortex beams. The distinct feature of these beams lies in their source field coherence function, which depends on the nth power difference of the positional coordinates between two points, rather than the Euclidean distance. We establish realizability conditions that constrain the source parameters for generating such beams. Through numerical simulations, we analyze the far-field radiation characteristics, include the spectral density and degree of polarization distributions. Results reveal that tuning the parameters (the beam order n, topological charge l, coherence length, and nontrivial phase factor a) induces intriguing phenomena during far- field propagation. These include beam rotation, intensity centroid shift, and the emergence of Airy-vortex-like structure. This work highlights the unique beam manipulation capabilities enabled by the proposed generalized source coherence structure.
