  • Utilized 5 years of electronic medical record (EMR) data (Jan 2020-June 2024).
  • Assessed implementation rates of three ZS domains: identify, engage, and transition.
  • Employed a logit model to examine demographic variations in implementation rates.

Main Results:

  • 8810 hospitalizations (5703 unique individuals) were analyzed.
  • 100% screened for risk; 80% high-risk received safety planning.
  • 53.3% accepted transition intervention, with racial and gender disparities observed across all domains.

Conclusions:

  • ZS implementation offers valuable insights for behavioral health settings.
  • EMR integration is a key strategy for ZS initiatives.
  • Sociodemographic disparities present significant challenges for ZS quality improvement.
