Cancer immunotherapy, particularly PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, can cause autoimmune endocrine side effects like thyroid disorders and diabetes. A melanoma patient on pembrolizumab developed both thyroiditis and fulminant autoimmune diabetes.
