Abstract:
Rotator cuff repair is one of the most common orthopaedic procedures. The double-row repair is commonly employed to repair the supraspinatus (SSP) because it effectively restores the tendon footprint, provides mechanical stability, and reduces gap formation required for effective healing. Despite this, retear rates remain high. Augmenting the double row with additional sutures and suture anchors at the robust anterior aspect of the SSP may improve construct strength and reduce the chance of repair failure. This Technical Note describes an SSP repair technique termed the double-double row to provide additional anterior footprint compression.
