Contralateral multi-suture craniosynostosis is a rare form of craniosynostosis in which two or more sutures are fused on opposite sides of the skull, resulting in bilateral growth restriction. Opposing forces of distraction and expansion are needed to treat contralateral suture involvement. Early dynamic expansion is preferred for patients under 6 months of age as it has improved safety outcomes. The armamentarium of early dynamic expansion for craniosynostosis includes distraction osteogenesis and cranial springs though not often used together. Herein we report a two-stage technique to treat contralateral right unicoronal and left lambdoid synostosis with simultaneous distraction osteogenesis and spring-mediated cranioplasty.
