Assessment of Retinal Function Using Full-Field Electroretinography in Patients Undergoing Vitrectomy for a Macular

Vitrectomy surgery effectively closes full-thickness macular holes (FTMH) and improves vision. Retinal function, measured by electroretinography (ERG), shows localized effects, not widespread retinal impairment, after FTMH repair.

- The RETeval™ system offers a non-invasive method for monitoring retinal function post-vitrectomy for FTMH.
- FTMH is primarily a localized issue, not causing significant widespread retinal dysfunction.
- Vitrectomy effectively restores anatomical structure and improves visual acuity in FTMH patients.
