Abstract:
Herein, a novel protocol for the Fe(OTf)3-promoted ortho-selective C-H borylation of aryl selenoesters is described. The corresponding borylated selenoesters are obtained with excellent site selectivity in moderate to good yields under mild conditions. The borylated products can be converted to various useful intermediates. Additionally, the differential reactivity of some substrates is illustrated by a detailed density functional theory calculation.
