Regulating the electronic structure of molybdenum disulfide by chromium incorporation for robust hydrogen evolution

Abstract:
We developed novel uniform chromium-doped molybdenum disulfide (Cr-MoS2) nanosheets for the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The Cr doping is beneficial for the charge redistribution of MoS2 and energy barrier optimization of the HER, which endows Cr-MoS2 with excellent catalytic activity and stability, as confirmed by in situ Raman spectroscopy.
