High blood pressure variability, specifically increased average real variability (ARV) and ambulatory arterial stiffness index (AASI), is linked to neurodegeneration markers in older adults. This combined hemodynamic instability exacerbates medial temporal lobe atrophy and increases neurofilament light levels.
