Asthma-Associated COPD Etiotype: Clinical Features and Inflammatory Patterns in Biological Samples

Over 40% of non-smoking asthmatics develop chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with obstruction in the airway (COPD-A). Elevated sputum IL-8 levels may indicate this COPD-A phenotype in asthma patients.
