Gastric glomus tumors are rare and challenging to diagnose preoperatively owing to their resemblance to other submucosal lesions. We herein report the case of a 35-year-old man with a 15 mm gastric submucosal tumor. Endoscopic ultrasonography depicted the tumor as a hyperechoic mass, whereas contrast-enhanced harmonic endoscopic ultrasonography showed homogeneous enhancement and a prolonged contrast effect from the early to delayed phases. Endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine-needle aspiration showed uniform round cells, and immunohistochemistry confirmed a gastric glomus tumor. This rare gastric glomus tumor was identified preoperatively, thus highlighting the potential of these modalities in diagnosing patients with submucosal gastric tumors.
