Modelling societal preferences for automated vehicle behaviour with ethical goal functions

This study introduces an Ethical Goal Function (EGF) to quantify societal values for automated vehicle (AV) decision-making. The EGF, integrated into a Socio-Technological Feedback (SOTEF) Loop, enables continuous alignment of AV ethics with public preferences.
